1. Overview
RelayCollab (“RelayCollab,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates a platform connecting creators and brands for collaboration purposes. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the platform as a creator, a brand, or a visitor, why we collect it, and what choices you have. It’s written to be read by an actual person, not just a lawyer — if anything is unclear, contact us using the details at the bottom of this page.
This policy applies to RelayCollab’s website, creator and brand profiles, dashboards, and the inquiry system connecting the two. It is governed by the laws of India, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, where applicable.
2. Information we collect
If you register as a creator
- Name, username, niche, bio, and profile photo
- Platform statistics you provide: follower counts, engagement rates, and which platforms you’re active on
- Your rate card and starting rate
- Location (country, state, city) — used for filtering and location display
- Contact email and phone number, where provided
- Recent media links or uploaded images you choose to display
- Social media links you add to your profile
If you register as a brand
- Brand name, username, niche, bio, and logo
- Contact email, phone number, and website (if provided)
If you submit an inquiry to a creator
- Your email address, brand or shop name, phone number, and stated budget
Automatically collected
- Your IP address — used briefly to detect your country so prices display in the right currency
- General usage data collected through Google Analytics (pages visited, device and browser type, approximate location)
3. What’s public vs. private
Shown publicly on an approved profile: name/brand name, username, niche, bio, photo or logo, platform statistics, rate card, location (country/state/city), recent media, social links, and past brand collaborations you list.
Kept private, visible only to you and our team: your contact email, phone number, and any inquiry details submitted to you (visible only to you and the RelayCollab admin team for review purposes).
4. How we use your information
- To create and display your public profile once approved
- To let brands and creators filter, search, and find each other
- To review and approve new creator and brand profiles before they go live
- To deliver brand inquiries to the correct creator, including budget and contact details
- To process membership payments and manage your subscription status
- To detect your approximate location for currency display and location-based filtering
- To understand how people use RelayCollab so we can improve it, using Google Analytics
- To communicate with you about your account, approvals, or policy changes
5. Third parties we use
We share limited information with the following services so RelayCollab can function. We don’t sell your personal information to anyone.
- Stripe — processes membership payments. RelayCollab does not store your full card details; Stripe handles that directly.
- Google Analytics — collects anonymized usage data to help us understand traffic and improve the site. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
- ipapi.co — receives your IP address briefly to determine your country for currency display. It is not stored by RelayCollab beyond that lookup.
- Google Fonts — loads the typefaces used on this site.
- Our hosting provider, which stores the RelayCollab database and files.
7. Payments
If you subscribe to a paid membership, your payment is processed by Stripe. We receive confirmation of your payment and subscription status, but not your full card number. Subscription fees, billing cycles, and cancellation terms are described in our Terms & Conditions.
8. Data retention
We keep your profile information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or ask us to remove your data, we’ll delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable time, except where we’re required to retain certain records (for example, payment records) for legal or accounting purposes.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you’re located, you may have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information, and to object to certain uses of it. To exercise any of these rights, email us at the address below — we’ll respond as quickly as we reasonably can.
10. Children’s privacy
RelayCollab is open to creators and brands aged 13 and older. If you are between 13 and 18, a parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these terms on your behalf, and must be involved in any paid collaboration or membership payment, since minors generally cannot enter binding financial agreements on their own. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13; if we learn that we have, we will delete it.
11. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including secure password storage and encrypted payment processing through Stripe. No system is completely secure, though, and we can’t guarantee absolute security of information transmitted to or from RelayCollab.
12. International data transfers
Some of the third parties we use — including Stripe and Google — may process data outside of India. By using RelayCollab, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in countries with different data protection laws than your own.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you directly.
